We began our science inquiry about the sky on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Batista read us the Coast Salish legend, "How Raven Stole the Sun." Then we looked up at the sky and wrote and drew about all the things we know about the sky.

We have been reading several books about peace and remembrance this week as well. On Monday, we made "Peace is"books with Mrs. Von Einsiedel, and today we wrote about peaceful moments that we now get to enjoy every day because of the sacrifices that were made for us.
We also gathered together as a school for our Remembrance Day assembly this morning. Mrs. Kristensen was so proud of how well we listened and how respectful we were during the assembly. Many of us shared stories about loved ones that we had heard from our parents who had served.

"Somewhere today someone is making a new friend."

"Somewhere today someone is adopting a puppy."

"Somewhere today someone is wearing a poppy."
