What a perfect afternoon for our first Outdoor Learning day! After lunch we ventured past Loutet Garden, through the paths, and up to the forest. When we arrived, Mrs. Kristensen and Mrs. Batista reviewed the boundaries and showed us around the forest. They then set us off to play! We had so much fun working together to build forts, bug hotels, and shelters. Some of us climbed, and dug, and practiced balancing along the logs. We even gathered around the story log to listen to a book about how trees grow in the forest.

We have also been exploring the signs of fall. We have gone on a few walks around the school in search of fall artifacts. We have been reading books and poems about fall, and have even written our own mini books!
