When we ventured out into the forest on Tuesday we enjoyed a lot of free play. It has been amazing to see the evolution of how the children are playing and utilizing the materials within the forest. They continue to work well together, and have been engaged in dramatic play as well as self led projects.
We also gathered around the story log while Mrs. Kristensen read us a story about a naughty Leprechaun. We then set out with some rainbow "bait" to create and engineer Leprechaun traps.
This week we have been reading books about, and exploring the concept of odd and even numbers. We used magazines to go on a odd and even numbers hunt, and played a dice game today called "Place Your Bets," to help reinforce the concepts we have learned.
We also received 3 new sight words for this week's spelling list, and have been working on the "ent" word family. Today Mrs. K hid Easter eggs around the room containing spelling words for us to find and write out.
