We read stories about kindness and made a friendship fruit salad. As each child added their ingredient the class took turns sharing with them all the qualities we love most about that person. It was heart warming to hear how they recognize one other's talents and the qualities that make them unique.
We also read "The Best Part of Me," which was written for children, by children. The books explores what the children like best about themselves and why. We wrote our own versions in our journals. Mrs. Kristensen has promised to type them out for us, and tomorrow we will use the iPads to take the pictures that will accompany our writing.
In the afternoon, we had a school wide Pink Shirt Day assembly. It was completely created and run by the Brooksbank students themselves. Way to go, Bobcats!!!
