We are continuing to work on number sense and our conceptual understanding of numbers to 20, using more/ less language (ex. 2 more than 8 is 10, 1 less than 20 is 19). The children are still enjoying sharing their collections for estimation with the other children. We are getting so good at making careful guesses!
The rest of the day was full of all things Halloween. We rotated through 3 Halloween themed centres in the Open Area, and will do a 4th rotation tomorrow.
At one centre we used Halloween props and the Photo Booth app on the iPads to take pictures of our friends. Then then learned how to email our favourite photos to our teachers all by ourselves!
In other centres, we made bat hats...
