This week has been full of Halloween activities. We have been reading Halloween stories and poems, and creating mini books using Halloween words.

We ventured out into the forest on Tuesday afternoon for some free play and a story. This week we also chose a sit spot. A sit spot is a place each child chooses that will be theirs for the year. It is a place where we sit in complete silence to reflect on the sights, sounds and  smells of the forest. This helps us to become more present and aware to what is going on around us. The children also recorded some of their observations in their Outdoor Learning book.
We then took the long way back to school, exploring the neighbourhood and tallying all the houses that we saw decorated for Halloween.
