Snow, snow and more snow! In addition to the day off we all had yesterday it seems as though our focus has been around all things snow. We have shared stories and poems and even discussed the science behind what makes snow white. In Outdoor Learning we built snow forts, and snowmen, and had so much fun sliding down that giant hill by the forest.  There were squeals of delight when we were making snow volcanoes, using food colouring, baking soda, and vinegar to help them erupt.

In math we have been learning our doubles facts (5+5, 6+ 6, etc) and will be working towards memorizing them, if we haven't yet already. Knowing our doubles facts will help us in the coming months as we start to memorize more of our basic facts.
