Our week has been full of Christmas stories, books, writing and artwork. Hanukkah is also being celebrated  this week, and the children had an opportunity to learn to play dreidels.

We enjoyed the sunshine in the forest on Monday as we continued to dig, make forts and engage in dramatic play.

We also gathered at the story log and read "I am Yoga." We talked about the importuning of clearing our minds and paying attention to the stillness of our bodies and our breath. We also learned about how the First Peoples had sit spots. These spots are areas in the forest used for quiet reflection. We took some time to find a "just right" sit spot for ourselves, and then sketched what we saw there. We will continue to visit these same spots each week during Outdoor Learning.
