Sadly our baby chickens went back to the farm yesterday, but we had so much fun with them, and learned a lot about chickens and how to care for animals. We had even more fun celebrating them at their birthday party! We did the chicken dance, played pin the tail on the rooster, ate popcorn, and sang "Happy Birthday." Each of us shared our wishes for the baby chickens in their first year of life.
  Some of us were feeling brave enough to hold the chicks long enough for Mrs. Kristensen to snap a picture of us.

The weather has been fantastic for our last few Outdoor Learning afternoons. Yesterday we had free play, and then read a story called "Take A Closer Look." We used the techniques we had previously learned about how to take a good picture, and zoomed in on an object in the forest to take a picture of.
