October is already off to a great start! Our morning began with visit with our friends, printing, and guided reading. After recess we met in the open area, and the teachers told us all about the 20 different centres we get to choose from during Choosing time. We could hardly wait to get started! So may of us have already heard about Choosing from our older brothers and sisters.

This afternoon we also gathered in a circle at the carpet and read a story called "The Forest." We discussed how all things in the forest are interconnected and how the natural world could be considered our home as well. This understanding will help us when we begin our Outdoor Learning program tomorrow afternoon.

Evan is also being celebrated as Child of the Week. Today he brought in his "Me"poster, and shared some information about his family and all the cool places he has travelled. The boys and girls had a lot of "interview"questions for Evan, as we excitedly try to learn more about him.

Mrs. Kristensen was also looking for a volunteer or two to make homemade play dough for the modelling centre at Choosing. She has a recipe and some supplies if you are able to help!
