This morning we began our day with printing practice of the letter "Mm" on our mini whiteboards.
Then Mrs. Kristensen gave us our new blue homework bags before sending us off to our Guided Reading groups. We were so happy and could hardly contain our excitement. Edward asked "do we get to have homework every night?!" An exciting morning indeed. Please help us to remember to bring our blue homework bags back to school tomorrow and every morning.

After recess,we shared the fall items we had collected over the weekend and many of us had interesting facts about these items. We have put them on display so that the children can have a closer look at them. We also read some stories about the new season, and each completed a "hello" page in our "Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall,"  class book.

In math we used the Bugs and Buttons app to practice our patterning and sorting skills. Tomorrow we will begin a new unit on number sense.

Brooksbank will be participating in the Terry Fox run on Thursday September 28 at 2:20pm. We have started collecting Toonies for Terry if you wish to donate. A grade 7 volunteer will be coming to collect donations from each class over the next few days
