This morning we bundled up for the cold, and went up near the forest to enjoy some science during Outdoor Learning. We have been learning about shadows and how they are created, so this sunny day was a perfect opportunity to apply what we have learned. Mrs. Kristensen gave us several materials to build a structure and explore the shadows they would create. We also had the guiding question, "what colour are shadows?'' to lead our inquiry. This exploration helped us to better understand the difference between opaque and translucent objects, and how these affect how light passes through.
