This afternoon, we bundled up in our boots and mitts and head into the forest. We enjoyed some free play as we noticed all the changes taking place in the forest. We even spotted a woodpecker!
We took some time to revisit our sit spots, and sketched and wrote about what we saw, heard, and felt there. It felt great to sit in silence in the forest and to be present with all that was happening there.
Mrs. Kristensen read us The Log Hotel, and we connected this to what we had learned last week about what bugs do in winter. Then we built log hotels of our own so that the forest insects can stay warm and camouflaged through the winter.
